Bingo! Tedhe Medhe and Zepto host India’s biggest fake wedding

The two companies teamed up to create a high-energy, wedding-themed experiential event that captured Gen Z’s love for shareable moments.

Bingo! Tedhe Medhe joined hands with Zepto to celebrate The Great Indian Fake Shaadi, a large-scale experiential event held on 31 October at Chhatarpur Farms, Delhi. The celebration had all the trappings of a grand Indian wedding — from dazzling décor and vibrant sangeet lights to mehndi corners and expansive food counters — but without an actual marriage taking place.

This event was part of the growing Fake Shaadi trend, a social phenomenon where friends, creators and audiences participate in elaborate, ticketed wedding-themed parties without the rituals or commitments of a real ceremony. The format has gained traction among younger audiences who seek collective, expressive and content-rich experiences.

Bingo! Tedhe Medhe played a central role in energising the event with its trademark quirky style. Guests were welcomed by the Tedhe Medhe Chaat Stall, offering innovative snack items such as Baraati Bhelbarood, Phera Papri Twist and Sangeet Shots. The brand’s anthem set the tone for a lively baraat-style dance session, where influencers, creators and attendees joined in spontaneous performances that soon went viral online.

According to Suresh Chand, vice president and head of marketing, snacks, noodles and pasta, foods division, ITC Ltd., “At Bingo! we’ve always believed that snacking is more than just food — it’s an emotion. Partnering with Zepto’s Great Indian Fake Shaadi allowed us to bring that emotion to life.”

Chandan Mendiratta, chief brand officer at Zepto, added that the collaboration “brought together brands, creators and communities in a truly engaging format” and demonstrated how brands can connect with audiences through culture-led experiences.

By aligning with Zepto, Bingo! Tedhe Medhe turned wedding nostalgia into a social media spectacle, merging humour, flavour and pop culture in a distinctly youth-driven expression.
