Klick Health and Rethink both finished 2025 with strong showings on the One Club’s annual Global Creative Rankings.
The rankings, which were released Monday, are determined by a points system applied across the Club’s global, regional and local shows, and provide what the Club calls the “most comprehensive reflection” of excellence across advertising, design and craft. While the One Club runs global programs, the organization and its shows are still held in higher regard by North American agencies rather than those in Europe.
Klick Health Toronto finished first on the Global Independent Agency Rankings thanks to a strong showing for “Voice 2 Diabetes” for KVI Brave Fund. and for “47” for Cafe Joyeux at both the One Show and ADC.
Rethink Toronto placed fifth, thanks to multiple wins for “Can’t Unsee It” for Kraft Heinz, “See My Name” and “Paid Through Parents,” both for Molson Coors, and “U Up?” for IKEA. In the Independent Agency Network Rankings, Klick came in second and Rethink in third, with Serviceplan Group topping that list.
Klick also finished second on the Global Agency Rankings, which includes holding company brands. However, it finished well back of the strongest agency performer, which was also one of the agencies that was retired at the end of the year.
Thanks largely to its “Spreadbeats” campaign for Spotify, FCB New York accumulated 4,209 points in total, nearly three times the total for Klick with 1,410 points. FCB also topped the Agency Network of the Year rankings.
As part of the changes introduced by Omnicom after its acquisition of Interpublic, the FCB agency brand was folded into BBDO and TBWA late last year. However, the strong showing of FCB in recent years was reflected in Omnicom’s decision to name former FCB global CEO Tyler Turnbull as the new global CEO for McCann, while former FCB Canada CEO Bryan Kane was named CEO for the new Omnicom Advertising Group in Canada.
Klick and Rethink’s winning ways vaulted Canada into second spot in the country rankings, behind the US, and ahead of Germany, Portugal and the United Kingdom. The One Club also produces a ranking of creative colleges, with Stockholm’s Berghs School of Communication finishing atop that list.
"Our annual Global Creative Rankings and Global College Creative Rankings are free to view and built on a fully open methodology, with no secret weightings or hidden formulas,” said Kevin Swanepoel, CEO, The One Club for Creativity. “They provide the clearest and most comprehensive picture of the ideas, agencies and brands that are truly leading the industry, from local markets to the global stage.”
